It seems Apple enjoyed the first half of 2020 despite the Covid-19 pandemic. As per analysts from Omdia, iPhone 11 was the best selling smartphone of H1 2020. Apple sold around 37.7 million units of iPhone 11 in the first half of 2020. This sales number is 10 million more than last year’s best selling phone iPhone XR’s sale.

The second best selling phone was Samsung Galaxy A51 with just 11.4 million sales. So, the difference between the best selling and 2nd best selling is huge. Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro are at 4th and 5th place with 11 million and 10.2 million unit sales. Apple’s iPhone SE 2020 also enjoyed good sales and was 5th most selling phone with 8.7 million units shipped.

If you see the list of the top 10 best selling phones of H1 2020, There are 5 Apple phones and 4 Xiaomi phones. This shows that Apple ruled the premium segment and Xiaomi enjoyed the budget and mid-range segments. Only one Samsung phone managed to get into the list.
