After releasing Android 11 for mobile devices, Google is now launching Android 11 for Android TVs. Android 11 for TV comes with performance and privacy improvements along with several new features.

Google says that Android 11 will come with enhanced memory management for improved performance and one-time permissions for better privacy. It will also bring support for Auto Low Latency Mode, and low latency media decoding.

Other notable features include OEM configurable wake keys, silent boot mode for system updates, and inactivity prompts. It will have extended support for gamepad with official support for the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and USB support for the Steam Controller.

Google is now working with TV manufacturers to bring Android 11 to consumer TVs in the coming months.
