The Unicode Consortium has officially announced Emoji 13.1. The new pack adds 7 new emoji and 21 skin variations. It should be available on devices in 2021.
Here is the list of new Emojis
- Heart on fire
- Mending heart
- Woman with beard
- Person with beard
- Face exhaling
- Face in clouds
- Face with spiral eyes
You can check the featured image of the article to see how these emojis will look. These are just generic samples. Every company is free to create their own images for different devices and platforms.
This is a minor update to add new emojis before 2022. Emoji 14 should come with major update. This was originally scheduled for March 2021 but it has been pushed back to September 2021 due to the global pandemic. Emoji 15 submissions are also on hold until April 2021.
