Xiaomi has officially announced the launch of Android 10-based MIUI 12 for India. MIUI 12 comes with several visual changes, new animations, a Built-in app drawer, improved privacy, and security measures.

MIUI 12 introduces a complete design overhaul to make the interface more attractive. There’s a new control center. There is a new set of wallpapers including ‘Super Wallpapers.’ The company has also worked on app animations.

Xiaomi is finally adding the much-requested app drawer on the MIUI 12 For improved multitasking, Xiaomi has also introduced a new Floating Windows feature.

MIUI 12 comes with an Ultra Battery saver mode that promises up to 5 additional hours battery backup. The new universal casting tool makes sure that casting isn’t interrupted by calls or messages. The camera app also lets users control what metadata of the image they want to share with their friends.

MIUI 12 rollout begins in August 2020. In the first phase, it will be available to Mi 10, Redmi Note 9/ Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 8/ Redmi Note 8 Pro, and Redmi Note 7/ Redmi Note 7 Pro. Other devices including Redmi 7, Redmi 7A, Redmi 8, Redmi 8A, Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 6A, Mi Mix 2, Redmi Note 5 will get the MIUI 12 later this year.
