Yesterday, we reported that Xiaomi has started teasing the launch of its upcoming budget phone Redmi 9 in India. Now the company has confirmed that the phone will be launched in India on August 27.
Amazon India has also published a teaser page confirming exclusive availability on the e-commerce platform. The page confirmed that Redmi 9 will come with a waterdrop notch and an AI dual camera. The phone will run on MIUI 12 out of the box and there will also be a large battery.
Since the phone is likely to be the rebranded Redmi 9C. Specs could be 6.53-inch LCD Dot Drop notch screen, Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G35 processor, IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, and 5000mAh. Redmi 9C actually features a triple camera while the Redmi 9 teaser confirms dual camera. So, there won’t be exact specs as in Redmi 9C.
