Xiaomi’s Redmi has launched its latest budget phone Redmi 9 in India. The phone starts at Rs. 8999 and will be available from Amazon.in and mi.com starting from August 31st.

Redmi 9 features AuraEdge design with a grip-friendly texture. It has a Dot Drop screen and weighs 196g. The phone comes in Sporty Orange, Sky Blue, and Carbon Black colors. It also has Splash proof P2i coating.

Redmi 9 features a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS LCD Dot Drop Display. It runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12. The phone packs 2.3GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G35 processor and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and offers 64GB or 128GB storage. Storage is expandable up to 512GB.

The phone has a dual camera with 13 megapixels primary and 2 megapixels depth cameras. It also has a 5 megapixels selfie camera.

The fingerprint sensor is located on the back panel. It has Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and micro USB connectivity options. It includes a 5000mAh battery with 10w charging.

Redmi 9 will be available from Amazon.in and mi.com starting from August 31st.
