Google has certified OnePlus Nord as a YouTube Signature Device. The YouTube Signature Devices program certifies those smartphones that deliver the best YouTube-viewing experience.

Even if all Android phones come with YouTube app and can play YouTube videos, but certain video formats are not available on all phones. For a smartphone to be a YouTube Signature Device, it must support HDR video, 4K video decoding, high frame rate playback, 360-degree video, good DRM performance, and VP9 codec decoding.

That means a YouTube Signature Device ensures the best YouTube video experience. You get high-quality video streaming on YouTube. When a device is capable of supporting all video formats on YouTube, it should also offer a similar experience on other streaming apps.

Earlier, OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, Motorola One Fusion+, and Motorola Edge+ devices have also been certified as YouTube’s Signature Devices. Here is the complete list of Google certified YouTube Signature Devices. Google began listing YouTube Signature Devices starting in 2018. Now the list has grown to have over 50 devices.
