Google Pixel 4a with 5.81-inch full-HD+ OLED Display, Snapdragon 730G Launched

Google has finally launched its new Pixel 4a. It is the successor of Pixel 3a but is cheaper by $50. Pixel 4a starts at $349 and will be up for pre-order in the US via the Google Store and on Google Fi.

Pixel 4a comes with a 5.81-inch (1080 x 2340 pixels) FHD+ OLED 18.5:9 display with HDR support and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone packs Octa-Core Snapdragon 730G processor with Adreno 618 GPU and Titan M security chip. There’s also one model with 6GB RAM and 128GB of non-expandable storage.

It has a 12 megapixels rear camera with f/1.7 lens and LED flash. The camera supports HDR+ with dual exposure controls, Portrait Mode, Top Shot, Night Sight with astrophotography capabilities, and fused video stabilization. The camera also has OIS. Pixel 4a has an 8-megapixel camera sensor for selfies.

Pixel 4a runs on Android 10 and the Android 11 update will be available next month.

The phone has a polycarbonate body with a matte finish. The fingerprint sensor is on the back. It measures 144x 69.4 x 8.2mm and weighs 143g. Pixel 4a comes with stereo speakers and also features a headphone jack.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C. It also packs a 3140mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

It is priced at $349 and will go on sale in the US from August 20th. Pixel 4a will also be launched in India in October and pricing will be confirmed at the time of launch.

There’s will also be a Pixel 4a 5G starting at $499 and Pixel 5 later this year. These phones won’t come to India.
