Chinese mobile phone company Vivo has launched a new smartphone Vivo Y30 in the Indian market. The phone was initially launched in Malaysia a few months back. Now the phone is listed on Flipkart with a price tag of Rs. 14,990 and will go on sale starting at 8pm IST today.

Vivo Y30 features a 6.47-inch HD+ (720×1560 pixels) LCD display with a hole-punch for the selfie camera. The phone is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) SoC and comes with 4GB of RAM. It has 128GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 256GB using a dedicated microSD card slot.

It has a quad-camera setup that includes 13 megapixels primary camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, 2 megapixels depth camera, and 2-megapixel macro camera. The phone also features an 8-megapixel selfie camera with support to artificial intelligence features.

The fingerprint sensor is located on the back panel. It also fealties 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, and USB Type-C. There’s a 5000 mAh battery to power the device.

Vivo has not made any official announcement of the launch. We are not sure the reason, but it could be related to Indo-China tensions.
