OnePlus launched 55-inch 4K QLED TVs in September last year in the Indian market. Starting at Rs. 69,900, OnePlus TVs were not in the reach of many consumers. This is the reason Mi and VU were leading smart TV brands. Recently, Realme also jumped into an affordable smart TV segment to get a pie of it. Now OnePlus has also confirmed to be in the same segment.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed the launch of the new OnePlus TV in India on June 2. These new models will be cheaper as compared to older models and aim to reach more Indian households.
“We’re making our premium smart TV experience more accessible to our Indian community #SmarterTV,” said Pete Lau in a tweet.
As per reports, there will be two new series of OnePlus TVs. One to upgrade the premium models and another for the entry-level Smart TV segment.
According to ET report, the cheapest model could come for as low as Rs. Rs. 15,000. There will also be a few other mid-range smart TVs priced between Rs 20,000 and Rs 40,000.
