Need for Speed Heat becomes the first EA Game to get cross-play

Popular racing game of 2019, Need for Speed Heat is getting cross-play support on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One starting June 9. It will be the first EA game to support cross-platform multiplayer.

The update enabling cross-play support will be released Today. Once you install the update, you can enable to race players across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

In the Find Players menu, you can also search for friends who play the same on different platforms but have opted in for cross-play.

Need for Speed Heat along with a few other NFS games was released on Steam last week. EA has already confirmed that a few more EA games will come to steam soon.

Criterion Games is now responsible for the development of the Need For Speed franchise. The company has already started working on the next Need for Speed game. The company is also maintaining and updating existing games based on users’ feedbacks.

EA’s summer game showcase will take place on 18th June where the company could announce future of Need For Speed and more updates on EA’s gaming plans.
