Apple has now released the Nearby feature of Apple Maps in India. The feature lets users find restaurants, grocery stores, petrol pumps, and medical stores around a location.
All you need to do is tap the search field on the Apple maps app and search for your nearby attractions. It will autosuggest options like Restaurants, food delivery, hospitals, and more.
Apple already rolled out turn-by-turn navigation back in January 2019. Now with this new update, Apple Maps is ready to compete against Google Maps in India.
Even if the feature has been launched in India, it may take a few days to be available to all iOS users of the country.
Nearby feature is already available in over 30 countries including Brazil, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Czech Republic, Ireland, South Africa, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Thailand and more.
Along with releasing Nearby feature in India, Apple has also enabled real-time transit information across Canada, England, the Netherlands, Scotland, Sweden, and Wales. The turn-by-turn navigation has also been expanded to a few new counties including turn-by-turn navigation, Greece, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, and more.
