Qualcomm has just announced its latest Soc Snapdragon 768G. This chipset is the successor to Snapdragon 765G that was announced back in December. Snapdragon 768G promises to offer improved CPU and GPU performance than its predecessor.

It seems Snapdragon 768G is the overclocked version of Snapdragon 765Gm that was also an overclocked version of Snapdragon 765. The Snapdragon 768G comes with a boosted clock speed of Prime Core from 2.4GHz to 2.8GHz. Snapdragon 768G packs 1 Kryo 475 Prime CPU clocked at up to 2.8GHz, 1 Kryo 475 Performance CPU at up to 2.2GHz, and 6 Kryo 475 Efficiency CPUs clocked at up to 1.80GHz.

Qualcomm promises that the new SoC will deliver superior gaming performance and intelligent multi-camera capabilities.

The Adreno 620 GPU has also been boosted by 15%. Snapdragon 768G aims to further boost the gaming experience of mid-range devices. The Soc also comes with a built-in Snapdragon X52 5G modem-RF system.

The Soc also features Snapdragon Elite Gaming to offer smoother gameplay and enhanced detail. There’s also Hexagon 696 digital signal processor (DSP). The social supports On-Device Display QHD+ @ 60 Hz and FHD+ @ 120 Hz. It also supports an external display up to UHD @ 60 Hz. It also supports Wi-Fi 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), Qualcomm aptX Adaptive Audio, Bluetooth v5.2, and USB Type-C (v3.1).

The Soc also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology and Quick Charge AI.

The first phone to use this chipset is the newly announced Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition. This phone takes advantage of the chip to offer 120Hz display, 5G, and more. I have written a dedicated article on the phone detailing specs.
