Vivo has announced a new smartphone Vivo S6 in China. The phone comes with 5G connectivity.

Vivo S6 features a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The display has a tall 20:9 aspect ratio. There’s also an in-display fingerprint reader.

It is powered by a 2.26GHz Exynos 980 octa-core processor with up to 8GB RAM. There are also CPU Turbo, AI Turbo, Net Turbo, Cooling Turbo, Game Turbo, and ART++ Turbo technologies to offer optimal performance. The phone also offers up to 256GB storage. It comes with Funtouch OS 10 based on Android 10.

Vivo S6 features a Quad-camera setup that includes 48 megapixels primary camera with f/1.79 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The camera features a portrait, panorama, dynamic photo, AR cute shoot, Night scene, and 4K video shooting. It also features a 32-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.08 aperture.

The phone comes with 5G support. Other connectivity options are WiFi, Bluetooth v5.1, and USB Type-C. It packs 4,500 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

Vivo S6 comes in black, white and blue colors. Dimensions measure 161.16×74.66×8.68 mm and it weighs about 181 grams.

The 6/128GB version costs CNY 2,698 and the 8/256GB variant costs CNY 2,998. It will be available in China starting April 3.
