ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia has just announced its latest mid-range gaming smartphone Nubia Play in China.

Nubia Play features a 6.65-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Nubia also claims that the phone has up to 4096 levels of automatic brightness adjustment. There’s In-display fingerprint sensor. It runs on nubiaUI 8.0 based on Android 10 out of the box.

The phone is powered by an octa-Core Snapdragon 765G 7nm processor with Adreno 620 GPU. It also has a rack-mounted liquid cooling system with 61mm large liquid cooling tube along with heat dissipation materials such as thermally conductive graphite, gel, copper foil, etc to keep the temperature of the phone down by up to 16° C. There are three different variants that are 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB Ram with 256GB storage.

The phone has a quad-camera setup with 48 megapixels primary camera, 8 megapixels 120° ultra-wide-angle camera, 2 megapixels macro camera and 2 megapixels depth camera. It also comes with a 12 megapixels selfie camera.

There 1217 Linear Speaker and DTS audio support. It supports USB Type-C audio. It also has dual-touch game trigger keys for the better gaming experience.

Connectivity options of the phone are 5G SA/ NSA / Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, Dual-frequency (L1+L5), GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, and USB Type-C. It packs 5100 mAh battery with support to 30W fast charging.

Nubia Play Price in China

  • 6GB RAM with 128GB storage: 2399 yuan
  • 8GB RAM with 128GB storage: 2699 yuan
  • 8GB Ram with 256GB storage: 2999 yuan

Nubia Play will be available in China starting April 24. It is now available to order.
