A few hours back, Apple launched its smaller iPhone model called iPhone SE. This is the successor of iPhone SE launched back in 2016. Apple didn’t change the name, so we can call it iPhone SE 2020 to avoid any confusion. The phone looks similar to the iPhone 8.

The new iPhone SE will be available for preorder this Friday, April 17th and will ship on April 24th.

Apple iPhone SE 2020 features a 4.7-inch (1334 x 750 pixels) IPS LCD display and runs on iOS 13 out of the box. It packs a Hexa-core A13 Bionic processor with 8-core Neural Engine. It will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage options.

The phone features a 12 megapixels wide-angle (f/1.8) camera on the back with support to OIS and 4K video recording at 60 fps. There’s a 7 megapixels selfie camera. The phone also has a portrait mode with “monocular depth-sensing” Technology. This tech uses machine learning to detect depth and faces.

The phone has stereo speakers. It also has a TouchID Fingerprint sensor that was missing in the latest iPhone models.

At the time when most of the phones now come with 5G, iPhone SE 2020 misses it. It features 4G LTE, Wi‑Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC with reader mode, and GPS with GLONASS.

Apple claims that the phone will offer up to 13 hours of video playback on a fully charged battery. There’s no confirmation on battery capacity but we will know it soon. The phone comes with a 5W charger in the box but it supports 18W fast charging if you have the adapter. The phone also supports Qi wireless charging.

It comes in Black, White and PRODUCT(RED) colors.

In India, iPhone SE starts at Rs. 42,500 for the 64GB version. The phone will be available through Apple Authorized Resellers soon in India when conditions go normal.
