Cybersecurity searchers from security firm Cyble have found a listing on the dark web selling 267 million Facebook profiles for just $540. The data includes email addresses, names, Facebook IDs, dates of birth, and phone numbers,

Thankfully, data doesn’t include passwords. So, you don’t need to worry much. This data can be used to perform brute force attacks and phishing attacks. Internet marketers can also use it for sending marketing emails.

It is not clear how the hacker managed to obtain data. They suspect it could be due from third-party API or scrapping.

You will be able to verify if your data was included soon using Cyble’s data breach monitoring platform, AmIbreached.com. If you are worried, you can check and see if your data is on sale.

You need to check your privacy settings and hide personal details that you do not want to share publicly. It could be your email address, date of both or other data.
