Xiaomi was the third biggest smartphone maker in February

At the time then the world is only getting bad news from across the world, Xiaomi got something to be proud of. The company was the third biggest smartphone marker in the month of February. It surpassed Huawei to get this milestone.

Huawei just shipped 5.5 million smartphones as compared to Xiaomi’s 6 million shipments. If you compare the data from the previous month, both saw a steep decline. Huawei shipped 12.2 million while Xiaomi shipped 10 million smartphones in January of 2020 Huawei’s sales are down nearly 70% as compared to sales in February 2019.

A total of 62 million units were shipped in February 2020 that is 39% less as compared to shipments in February 2019.

Samsung was the top smartphone market with 18.2 million shipments and Apple was in second place with 10 million iPhones shipments.

Samsung lost the least amount of shipments from January to February. All other brands saw a huge decline in sales.

In the coming months, smartphones sale is expected to go further down. But it is not stopping smartphone brands in launching new phones. Realme and Xiaomi are continuously launching smartphones. In the coming days, Huawei will launch the P40 series globally and Xiaomi Will launch Mi 10 in India. Recently, Realme launched Realme 6 series and Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 series in India.
