WhatsApp has finally started rolling out the dark mode for Android and iOS devices. This feature was already available in beta for the past few months. Now it is available for all users starting today.
If you have already enabled the dark mode of iOS 13 or Android 10, WhatsApp will automatically switch to the dark mode. Dark Mode helps a lot at night. It also uses less battery if your phone has an AMOLED display. It also puts less strain in the eyes.
“Dark mode for WhatsApp offers a fresh look on a familiar experience. It’s designed to reduce eye strain in low light environments,” says WhatsApp in a blog post.
WhatsApp has also released a short video “Hello Darkness” confirming the release of the dark theme.
If you don’t see dark mode in your WhatsApp, update it to the latest version. Update from Apple’s App Store or the Google Play Store.
