Bengaluru-based Practo has partnered with Thyrocare to perform the COVID-19 test across the country. Now the company has also started taking online bookings from those who are interesting in getting their COVID-19 test done.
Thyrocare has been authorized by the government of India and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for doing the COVID-19 test.
The test costs Rs. 4500 and can be booked online at Practo.com/covid-test and Covid.thyrocare.com/. After the booking, a certified phlebotomist will collect the samples from the patients and results will be posted online on the Practo website within 48 hours.
You can only book the test if you have a prescription and duly filed Form 44 signed by a practicing General Physician. If you do not have these, you can consult a doctor to get these documents.
For now, the service is available in Mumbai but will soon be expanded to the rest of the country.
