ZTE’s nubia brand has announced its latest gaming phone Nubia RedMagic 5G. This phone comes with powerful specs and a display with 144Hz refresh rate.
Nubia RedMagic 5G features a 6.65-inch (1080 × 2340 pixels) Full HD+ 19.5:9 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display also has a 240Hz touch sampling rate, sliding response time of 45ms, click response time of 32.2ms and follow-up response time of 14.9ms. It ensures buttery-smooth interaction with games.
The phone packs 2.84GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 865 7nm processor with Adreno 650 GPU. The phone also has a new L-shaped cooling pipe and a new Active Liquid-Cooling. It has Turbo Fan 3.0 making cooling 200% more efficient that predecessor and an increased airflow of 30%. It runs on Android 10 with Redmagic OS.
There are also dual IC game Shoulder Trigger Buttons that have been improved over the predecessor. These buttons have a 300Hz touch refresh rate and 2ms touch delay.
This gaming phone comes with 8GB /12GB / 16GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB / 256GB (UFS 3.1) internal storage. The use of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage makes the phone faster.
The phone features a triple camera setup with 64 megapixels Sony IMX686 main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera and 2 megapixels macro camera. It has 12 megapixels selfie camera.
The phone has a headphone jack and a 3 microphone setup for optimal audio capture. It has an under-display fingerprint sensor.
Nubia RedMagic 5G has X55 modem for 5G connectivity. It also features Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz + 5.8GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C.
Nubia RedMagic 5G packs 4500 mAh battery with support to 55W fast charging.

The nubia RedMagic 5G comes in Black, Red and Gradient versions. It has an aluminum back and measures 168.56×78×9.75mm. The weight of the phone is 218grams.
There is also a transparent version of the phone. It comes in only 12GB+256GB and 16GB+256 Models priced at 4599 Yuan and 5199 Yuan respectively.
Nubia RedMagic 5G is now available to order and will go on sale in China starting March 19th. The global rollout will begin in April.
