Redmi has just announced the price cut for its Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone in India. Now the phone starts at Rs. 13999. Redmi India tweeted to confirm this price cut.

The announcement post also mentions Mobiles Bonanza Sale of Amazon running from Feb 17th to Feb 21st. So, it seems a temporary price cut during the sale. But the company could also extend this price cut even after the sale ends.

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 6.53-inch display, Helio G90T, 64MP Quad-camera, 20MP selfie camera, and 4500 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The phone was enjoying the sales until Poco came with Poco X2.

Poco X2 seems to be the reason for this price cut that comes with powerful specs for the same price. So, Redmi decided to give customers the phone for a cheaper cost. Poco X2 comes with a 120Hz refresh rate display, Snapdragon 730G, 64MP Quad camera, 20MP selfie camera, and 4500mAh battery with support to 27W fast charging.
