Amazon India has added another device in its portfolio of the Echo range. The company has now launched Echo Show 8 in the Indian market. It is priced at Rs. 12999, but you can pre-order it at a discounted price of Rs. 8,999. Shipping will start on February 26.

Amazon Echo Show 8 was launched last year in September alongside Echo Buds and Echo Frames. Echo Show 8 features an 8-inch HD touch display and gives users access to Alexa.
The display shows quick information and videos. So, you can ask Alexa to show your favorite movies or TV shows on Prime Video or Voot. You can also stream music videos from Hungama Music or play music from Amazon Prime Music, Saavn, Gaana. Echo Show 8 also brings content for kids from Chu Chu TV, Chhota Bheem and more.
It also features a camera, so you can use it for video calling on Skype or other Echo devices with a screen. You can also make voice calls and send messages to other Echo devices.
There is also a physical shutter over the front camera. When the camera is not in use, you can use the shutter to cover it. This is useful for privacy reasons.
The device also lets you control your smart home devices such as security cameras, lights and more.

If you think Echo Show 8 is out of your budget, you can go with Echo Show 5 that has a 5.5-inch display and offers similar features. So, you only have to compromise with screen size but you will be getting almost similar features and an Echo device with the display.
