After entering the Indian market as an online-only brand in 2014, the company ventured into the offline market in 2017. In less than 3 years, Xiaomi’s growth in the offline market was extraordinary. Now the company claims to sell over one million devices in a single day on 10 January 2020 just on the offline market. These devices were sold from Mi Home, Mi Studio, Mi Stores, Mi Preferred Partner channels besides leading retail chains.

As per the study conducted by Channelplay, Xiaomi is the largest exclusive brand retail network in India. It is 44% bigger than Samsung India and 108% bigger than Dominos India. The company also inaugurated 519 Mi Stores simultaneously on 29 October 2018 and achieved a Guinness World Record.

Xiaomi opened its first exclusive retail store Mi one on May 20, 2017, also sold items worth Rs 5 crores in within 12 hours of sales. That shows how popular the brand is. Currently, Xiaomi has offline presence across 2500+ Mi Stores, 75+ Mi Home, and 20+ Mi Studios, 7000+ Mi Preferred Partner stores.

Xiaomi now sells a range of products including smartphones, fitness bands, smart TVs, soundbar, Water Purifier, Air Purifiers, Bluetooth speakers, earphones, headphones, Lamps, Smart Bulbs, sunglasses and more. The company is also looking to launch its laptops in the coming months.

Xiaomi is also the number 1 smartphone and Smart TV brand in the country.
