As already confirmed, Realme has launched its new budget phone Realme 5i in the Indian market. This phone is priced at Rs. 8999 and will be available starting 15th January 2020 from both Flipkart.com and realme.com.

Realme 5i features a 6.52-inch mini-drop full screen HD+ (720×1600 pixels) in-cell display. The display also has 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.1 on top.

The phone packs octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC with Adreno 610 and 4GB RAM. This is a powerful setup considering the price of the phone. It also has 64GB storage that can be expanded up to 256GB.

It features Quad-camera on the back that includes 12-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, 2 megapixels depth sensor, and a 2 megapixels macro sensor. The phone also has an 8- megapixels selfie camera. It features Beauty, HDR, Portrait, Time-lapse, Slo-mo, NightScape 2.0, and Expert modes for improved photography experience.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It has an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and proximity sensors. The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and also features Face unlock.

Realme 5i comes with a5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. This large battery can easily offer 2 days of battery backup.

The phone comes in two colors: Forest Green and Aqua Blue. It measures 164.4x75x9.3mm and weighs 195 grams.

Realme 5i is replacing Realme 5 in India. Realme 5 was launched starting at Rs. 9999 for the 3GB RAM variant while the Realme 5i is coming with better specs at a lesser price tag.

Realme 5i will be competing against Redmi 8 in the Indian market. If you look at the specs sheet, Realme 5i not just looks better, but also better specifications. Realme 5i has better chipset, largest display, and better camera setup.
