Redmi Note 8 with a 6.3-inch display, Snapdragon 665, 48 MP Quad rear cameras launched in India starting at Rs. 9999
Xiaomi just launched its latest smartphones in the Redmi Note series in India. This series includes Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. Redmi Note 8 starts at Rs. 9999 and comes with several improvements over Redmi Note 7.
Redmi Note 8 features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display. The phone has an Aura fluid design that has S-Shaped holographic reflection on the back. It comes in Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, Cosmic Purple, and Space Black colors. The phone also has a splash-resistant P2i coating.
The phone comes with an improved speaker that claims to offer 40% better output compared to the predecessor. Speaker also features automatic cleaning of dust.
The phone packs Octa-Core Snapdragon 665 with Adreno 610 GPU. This time the company has ditched the 3GB RAM variant. So, the phone comes in 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. There’s a dedicated microSD card slot to expand the storage up to 512GB.
The phone runs on MIUI 10 based on Android Pie but MIUI 11 will come by next month.
Redmi Note 8 features a quad-camera setup that includes 48 megapixels primary camera with LED Flash, f/1.79 aperture, Samsung ISOCELL GM2 sensor, PDAF, EIS, 8 megapixels 120° ultra-wide-angle camera, 2 megapixels depth camera for portraits and 2 megapixels camera for 2cm macro shots. It also has 13 megapixels front camera.
The phone has both a fingerprint sensor and an IR sensor. It includes Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou and USB Type-C. It packs 4000 mAh battery with support to 18W fast charging and 18W charger comes within the box.
