Along with Redmi Note 8, Xiaomi also launched Redmi Note 8 Pro in its Redmi Note series in India. The phone impresses with its specs and starts at Rs. 14999.

Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with HDR support. The display has Gorilla Glass 5 protection and also has TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification.

It has 3D glass back curved on the four sides. The back also has Gorilla Glass 5. The phone has splash resistant body with IP52 ratings. It comes in Gamma Green, Halo White and Shadow Black colors.

The phone packs Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G90T 12nm processor with Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU. It comes in three variants that are 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. There’s a dedicated microSD card slot to expand storage up to 256GB.

It has Quad-camera that includes 64 megapixels primary camera with Samsung GW1 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, EIS along with 8 megapixels telephoto camera, 2 megapixels depth camera for portraits and 2 megapixels 2cm macro camera. It also has 20 megapixels front camera.

The phone features both a fingerprint sensor and an IR sensor. It also has FM radio and headphone jack.

Redmi Note 8 Pro is also the phone that comes with Alexa voice assistant built-in and supports dual wake word. That means you can use both Alexa and Google Assistant on the phone.

It includes Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C. It also packs a 4500 mAh battery with support to 18W fast charging. The company will be selling the phone with an 18W charger in the box.
