Xiaomi has just confirmed the launch date of Redmi 8 in India. The phone will be launched in the country on October 9.
The teaser image just says 8, but we remember that Manu Jain mentioned Redmi 8 while launching Redmi 8A. Redmi Note 8 series is also expected to launch in India in October.
Redmi 8 got certified by TENNA last month confirming key specifications. It will feature a 6.26-inch HD+ Dot Notch Display, dual camera with 12-megapixel IMX363 sensor and 5-megapixel depth sensor along with 5000 mAh battery and 18W fast charging.

There could be an 8 Mp front camera, 2GB, 3GB or 4GB RAM options and expandable storage. We are not sure about the chipset. Redmi 7 was launched in India starting at Rs. 7999. We can expect similar pricing from Redmi 8 as well.
