As promised, Xiaomi has announced its latest flagship phone Mi 9 Pro 5G at an event in China.
Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro comes with 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display and features U shaped notch for the front camera. The display also has Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Like other flagship phones, this one also features an under-display fingerprint sensor.
It packs octa-core Snapdragon 855 Plus processor with Adreno 640 GPU for giving a high-end performance. It also has vapor chamber cooling support along with five layers of graphite sheet, high thermal conductivity copper foil and thermal adhesive for giving this phone a good cooling system. It comes in four different models having 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage and 12GB LPDDR4x RAM with 256GB / 512GB storage.
It has a triple camera setup that includes 48 megapixels Sony IMX586 sensor with /1.75 aperture, LED flash, OIS, Laser Autofocus, PDAF along with 12 megapixels Samsung S5K3M5 telephoto lens for 2x lossless zoom and 16 megapixels 117-degree ultra-wide-angle camera. It also has 20 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
It features Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem for offering 5G connectivity. Other connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, Dual-frequency (L1+L5) GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, and USB Type-C.
It packs 4000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. It also supports 30W wireless fast charging. The wired charging can charge the phone up to 50% in 25 minutes. It also supports reverse-charge, so you can charge other phones using your Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro. The company claims that it can reverse-charge the iPhone Xs Max up to 20% in 30 minutes.
The phone comes in Dream White and Titanium Black colors. It is now available in China for pre-order and will go on sale starting from September 27th.
