OnePlus just unveiled OnePlus 7T. This is the successor of OnePlus 7 that the company launched a few months back. Both the phones look similar from the front but are not the same from the back. Not just in design, they also differ in specs. If you want to know what’s new in OnePlus 7T and should you upgrade from OnePlus 7 to OnePlus 7T, keep reading.

There’s no difference from the front as both the phones have the same kind of waterdrop notch. OnePlus 7 has a vertical dual camera located on the top center side of the back panel while the OnePlus 7T has a triple camera setup inside a circular camera bump. This is the only change in design. This circular camera module includes a triple camera setup of 48-megapixel main, 12-megapixel telephoto and 16-megapixel ultra-wide cameras.
Like the previous phone, OnePlus7T also doesn’t come with IP rating.
OnePlus 7T has a larger 6.55-inch, FHD+, Fluid AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. Though the resolution is same FHD+. OnePlus 7 has 6.41-inch AMOLED screen but with 60Hz refresh rate. So, the refresh rate is the key difference that makes the display more responsive and fluid. Both the phones have an in-screen fingerprint scanner and there’s no improvement in its performance.
OnePlus 7T comes with Qualcomm’s newer Snapdragon 855 Plus CPU that is slightly better than the Snapdragon 855 used in OnePlus 7. So, OnePlus 7T also offers slightly better performance.
OnePlus 7T also features OnePlus’s new 30T Warp Charge tech that claims to charge the phone from 0% to 70% charge in 30 minutes of charging. This is slightly faster than the 30 Warp Charge tech in OnePlus 7.

OnePlus 7T looks similar to OnePlus 7 from the front but it has a better display, upgraded camera setup, faster CPU and faster charging. That means the phone is better at everything than OnePlus 7. But all these slightly better things still don’t make OnePlus 7T worth enough to upgrade from OnePlus 7. If you already have OnePlus 7, I will recommend you to keep using it.
