Mi Mix Alpha is a prototype phone that comes with an amazing 4D surrounding curved display. In the era when smartphone brands are trying to achieve 100% screen-to-body ratio, Mi Mix Alpha offers 180.6% screen-to-body ratio. The company calls it a phone wrapped in a single display.
The phone has a titanium alloy frame at top and bottom that is 3 times stronger than stainless steel. The camera lens also has a sapphire glass cover.
Sides are also the display, so there are no physical buttons. It has pressure-sensitive areas on the sides that in combination with a linear motor simulate the touch of real buttons.
It packs octa-core Snapdragon 855+ processor with Adreno 640 GPU and 12 GB RAM. It comes in 128GB and 512GB UFS 3.0 storage options.
As you can see, back also has mostly the display. So, the rear camera will be used as from camera for taking selfies. Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is the first phone with 108 megapixels camera. It uses Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor that is of 1/1.33-inch in size and will absorb more light with its large surface area. With such a high megapixel count, this camera captures a lot of details. The primary camera also has OIS, autofocus and laser focus. Along with the 1080 megapixels primary camera, it also has 20 megapixels wide-angle camera with up to 1.5cm macro photography and 12 megapixels telephoto camera.
