Huawei’s Kirin 990 7nm SoC to be available in India
At IFA 2019, Huawei latched its flagship SoCs Kirin 990 7nm SoC and Kirin 990 5G Octa-Core. Now the company has confirmed that both the SoCs will be available in India via upcoming flagship Huawei smartphones.
Kirin 990 is the world’s First Mobile SoC with 10.3 Billion Transistors. So, it is effective, fast and efficient. Kirin 990 5G comes with built-in 5G modem and supports both non-standalone (NSA) and standalone (SA) architectures. Kirin 990 5G is capable of offering peak downlink rate of 2.3 Gbit/s and an uplink peak rate of 1.25 Gbit/s.
These SoCs also comes with upgraded Kirin Gaming+ 2.0 that enables efficient gaming.
Kirin 990 comes Sith a brand-new ISP 5.0 that features professional-level hardware noise reduction for capturing brighter and sharper images in low light environments. It also has real-time video post-processing and AI segmentation for cinematic quality. It supports HDR10, 4K at 60fps decoding and 4K at 30fps encoding.
Huawei will unveil the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro smartphones on September 19th at an event in Germany. These phones are expected to be powered by Kirin 990 and Kirin 990 5G SoCs. So, we now know that Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro will also be coming to India soon.
