HMD Global confirms Android 10 Go edition update for all its Go edition smartphones

Two days back, Google officially unveiled Android 10 (Go Edition) for budget phones. Now the HMD Global has confirmed that it of its entry-level phones running on Android Android Pie Go Edition will get the Android 10 Go in Q1 2020.

Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Offer HMD Global, has confirmed this news via a Tweet.

Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 1 and Nokia 2.1 are the three Android Go phones. Nokia 1 Plus will get Android 10 Go in Q1 2020 while the other two smartphones will get in Q2 2020.

Android 10 Go claims to offer 10% faster app switching, better memory-efficiency, Adiantum (a new form of encryption for entry-level phones) and improved performance.

We do not have exact month or date of software rollout. Exact dates may vary by region due to operator approvals. HMD Global will confirm the dates when it is ready to release the Android 10 Go edition updates to its existing Go edition phones.
