Apple has launched the Apple next smartwatch, Apple Watch Series 5 in the Apple event today. This smartwatch by Apple sports an always-on Retina display and it goes on full-brightness when you tap on it. Apple says it comes with an always-on display while maintaining an 18 hour battery life. The Apple Watch Series 5 also comes with a built-in compass.
Apple announces in the event about three new research studies based on the Apple Watch. These three new research studies are Apple Hearing Study with the University of Michigan and WHO, Apple Women’s Health Study and Apple Heart and Movement Study. Apple also said that the Apple Watch users can also take part in these research studies and help this watch to improve better. The Apple Studies app will be available in the US later this year.
There are two models of Apple watch; one is GPS models and other is cellular model. Every cellular model has an international emergency calling function in over 100 countries without an iPhone, with just the button. The Apple Watch Series 5 has new safety features include fall detection and emergency SOS.
Apple Watch Series 5 aluminium models will be available in silver, gold and space grey. There are new titanium models and a ceramic white color of Apple Watch Series 5. Apple Watch Series 5 Nike and Hermes models have also been launched.
Apple Watch Series 5 will start at $399 for the GPS models, and $499 for the cellular models. Pre-orders begin today and the Watch Series 5 will be in stores starting September 20.
