At an event in China, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmu just announced its first 64MP camera phone Redmi Note 8 Pro. Not just the 64MP camera, this phone also brings MediaTek Helio G90T first time even in a smartphone.

The phone features a 6.53-inch LCD panel offering Full HD+ resolution. It has a glass back and will be sold in three colors Pearl White, Ice Emerald, and Electric Light Grey. The phone s IP52 certified.

It packs new gaming focussed Helio G90T SoC and comes with liquid cooling support for the improved gaming experience. It also comes with Game Turbo 2.0 mode and Xiaomi will also sell game controller for the phone. It comes in 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage options.

It has a quad-camera setup that has 64 megapixels primary shooter along with 8 megapixels ultra-wide, 2 megapixels depth and 2 megapixels macro camera. There’s also a 20 megapixels selfie camera with several AI features beautification option and more.

The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor and an IR sensor. Connectivity options are Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C.

It packs 4500 mAh battery with support to 18W fast charging. Xiaomi claims that you can charge the phone to 30% in 21 minutes, 50% in 36 minutes and 100% in just 1 hour and 53 minutes.

Xiaomi has also introduced World of Warcraft limited edition Redmi Note 8 Pro along with exclusive goodies, custom themes, and more.
