Today, Lenovo launched a new range of gaming laptops under its gaming brand Legion in the Indian market. These laptops are Legion Y740 and Legion Y540. The company claims that these laptops have been designed to offer a portable gaming machine to gamers who want a gaming laptop that can also be used in their daily usage.
Lenovo Legion Y740 is a high-end gaming laptop that features a 15-inch Full HD IPS display with 144Hz refresh rate and 500nits of brightness. It also has optional NVIDIA G-SYNC. The display also supports Dolby Vision HDR. It packs 9th Gen Intel Core i7-95750H processor and clock speed can go up to 4.5 GHz. It comes with 16GB DDR4 RAM that is further expandable up to 32GB. There’s 6GB dedicated GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GPU for handling graphics requirements. It also has 1TB M.2 TB SSD.
The laptop comes with Windows 10 Home along with Office Home & Student 2019. There is RGB backlit keyboard. It has 2×2 AC Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, one USB 3.1 Gen2, two USB 3.1 Gen1, one HDMI, one ethernet (RJ45), one Mini DP and a Type-C port. Sadly, there’s no SD card slot. It features Dolby Atmos Speaker System with Dolby Sound Radar.
Lenovo Legion Y540 is relatively cheaper gaming laptop yet powerful enough for good gaming experience. It comes with 15.6-inch Full HD display with 300 nits of brightness. There’s 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H processor with up to 4.5GHz clock speed. It packs 16GB DDR4 memory that is further expandable up to 32GB. It also has 6GB Nvidia RTX 2060 GPU and 1TB M.2 SSD storage.
It doesn’t come with full RGB backlighting for its keyboard but the keyboard has white color backlit keys. The laptop comes with Harman Kardon® speakers and supports Dolby Atmos. It has 64-bit Windows 10 Home and Office Home & Student 2019 pre-installed.
Both the laptops pack same 57Watt hour 3 Cell battery offering 6 hours of battery backup. Both of these laptops also come with Lenovo Legion Coldfront dual-fan thermal layout to dissipate heat.
Legion Y740 starts at Rs. 1,29,99 and Legion Y540 starts at Rs, 69,990. This new range of laptops is now available from Lenovo.com, Lenovo Stores and leading e-retailers across the country.
