Here’s how Zenfone Max Pro M1 stands against rivals after the price cut

Asus launched Zenfone Max Pro M1 more than a year ago. The phone was notable because Asus ditched its heavily customized Zen UI for stock Android and camera with an aggressive pricing strategy. It was launched starting at Rs. 10999.

Last month, the phone received a price cut and now it starts at Rs. 7999. In this segment, this phone is now directly competing against Samsung Galaxy M10, Redmi 6 Pro, and Realme 3. Realme 3 is the newest that was launched back in March this year. Even if Zenfone Max Pro M1 is a year old, it has impressive specs to stand out of the crowd.

Here’s a table for side by side comparison of specs.

Zenfone Max Pro M1 was launched last year, so it doesn’t look as good as other phones. Samsung Galaxy M10 and Realme 3 come with the modern design having a waterdrop notch. Redmi 6 Pro has a wide notch.

It is clear that Zenfone Max Pro M1 is the only phone that is offering 4K recording, large 5000 mAH battery, and selfie flash to give you good selfies in low light. If you compare chipset, Snapdragon 636 beats other chipsets used in rival phones.

Zenfone Max Pro M1 is also offering Full HD+ display. Redmi 6 Pro is also offering Full HD+ panel, but the display of Zenfone Max Pro M1 is better. Galaxy M10 and Realme 3 come with HD+.

Zenfone Max Pro M1 also features 5 magnet speaker with NXP Smart AMP for the loud and good audio experience.

Xiaomi’s Redmi 7 is also in the same segment. It features HD+ display, Snapdragon 632, 2 GB RAM, 12-MP+ 2-MP Camera, and 8-megapixel front camera and 4000 mAH battery, So, it also cannot compete against Zenfone Max Pro M1.

The only camera is the department where the competition will be tough, but Asus is beating other rivals in all other things. If you are planning to buy a budget phone, Zenfone Max Pro M1 is still a good option to go with.
