Fossil has launched its new Gen 5 smartwatch. It packs Wear 3100 CPU, Wear OS by Google and extended battery mode.

Fossil Gen 5 has a touch screen display and comes with a 44mm dial. It comes in different materials including Julianna HR Rose Gold-Tone Stainless Steel, Blush Leather, and Stainless Steel. It is also water-resistant up to 30 meters.

It comes with several sensors including Accelerometer, Altimeter, Ambient Light, Gyroscope, and Heart Rate. It also offers Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, Wi-Fi, and GPS connectivity options.

Fossil Gen 5 also features in-built microphone and speaker. So, you can also take calls on the smartwatch itself and also listen to responses from Google Assistant.

Google promised better battery life with Wear 3100 platform. Fossil has made it better by offing three battery modes on this smartwatch. These modes are Extended mode, Custom mode, and Time Mode. If you are using Extended mode, the battery will last multiple days without affecting notifications or heart rate tracking.

Fossil Gen 5 is priced at US$295 and is now available from Fossil.com
