Fitbit has launched its new Fitbit Versa 2 smartwatch in India. This is a swim-proof smartwatch with elegant design and smart features. It is priced at Rs. 20999.
The most notable thing is the Alexa integration and it is also Fitbit’s first-ever watch to come with Alexa smartwatch experience. So, you just need to press a button and speak to the watch for checking the weather, setting a reminder or getting an answer to your questions.
There’s an AMOLED display that is bright enough for outdoor usage. It shows different clock faces depending on what you have selected. This watch is compatible with iPhone 4S or later and Android 5.0 or later. It means, it is available for most of the smartphones currently available in the market.
This watch is water-resistant to 50 meters. It comes in black with a carbon case, petal with a copper rose aluminum case and stone with a mist grey case options. THere’s also a Versa 2 Special Edition in navy and pink colors with copper rose aluminum case and smoke with a mist grey case.
It can track your exercise and comes with 15+ Exercise Modes that can track your exercise and give you real-time stats while you exercise. You can also track your slope and get an insight it. It also generates Sleep Score based on heart rate, restlessness, time awake and Sleep.
It also has 24/7 heart rate tracking. You get notifications for calls, texts, calendar, and apps when your phone is nearby. You can also reply to texts from your watch using your voice but this feature is only available for Android.
There’s a sleep mode in Fitbit Versa 2 that disables your screen display and silence notifications for a night free of disturbances. You can use it anytime you don’t want to be interrupted.
It has connected GPS, so you can see pace & distance during runs or rides. This watch can also show you the estimated Oxygen variation graph but this feature is not instantly available and will be added later.
It claims to offer over 5 days of battery life with normal use.
Versa 2 costs Rs. 20999 and Versa 2 Special Edition is priced at Rs. 22,999. It will be available at Reliance Digital, Croma, Helios and other major retailers offline along with Amazon and Flipkart starting September 15, 2019.
Fitbit also announced its new paid membership service called “Fitbit Premium” though its Fitbit app. It will offer Fitbit’s most personalized experience yet along with actionable guidance and coaching. It costs Rs. 819 per month or Rs. 6,999 per year.
