Instagram has just announced the release of a new Sticker for Stories. Then new Sticker is called “Chat” and will let anyone checking the story to join an Instagram group DM conversation.
Not everyone can directly take part in group chat because the original poster will be approving the requests coming from friends and followers. But that’s an easy way to invite people to talk on a topic.
Instagram tweeted to confirm this new Sticker. The video attached to the tweet shows how to use this Sticker.
If you see this Sticker on a story and went to be the part of group conversation, simply tap on the story and it will send a request to join the group chat. When your request is approved, you can start talking on the group conversation.
Instagram has a built-in option for one-to-one and one-to-many messaging. The company also worked on moving this messaging feature away from Instagram in the form of a separate app but that didn’t work. Now Instagram is trying to integrate it within the app in many ways.
