Honor has announced a new smartphone Honor Play 8 in its Play series of smartphones in China. It is an entry-level phone for first-time smartphone buyers.

Honor Play 8 features a 5.71-inch HD+ 19:9 IPS LCD display with 294PPI pixel density. It runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.0 at the top. The phone packs 2.0GHz Quad-Core (ARM Cortex A53) MediaTek Helio A22 12nm Processor with IMG PowerVR GE8300 GPU.

It also has 2 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage with an option to expand storage up to 512GB with microSD. It has dedicated microSD card slot along with two nano SIM slots.

It has 13 megapixels rear camera with LED flash and f/1.8 aperture. For selfies, it has a 5 megapixels camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

Connectivity options of the phone include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS and micro USB. It packs 3020 mAh battery.

Honor Play 8 comes in Magic Night Black and Aurora Blue color options. It is now available from HONOR’s Vmall store and other major e-retailers in China at 599 yuan.
