Huawei just announced two new smartphones Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro in China. Both the phones have same display and size but different in other specs.

Huawei Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro come with 6.39-inch FHD+ OLED HDR Display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. These phones run on Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.1.1 out of the box.

Nova 5 packs Kirin 810 Soc with ARM Mali-G52MP6 GPU. Nova 5 Pro has more powerful Kirin 980 Soc with ARM Mali-G76MP10 GPU. Both the phones pack 8GB RAM but Nova 5 has 128GB storage while Nova 5 Pro comes with 256GB storage.

Camera setup is same on both the phones. There is a Quad-camera setup that includes 48-megapixel primary shooter with an f/1.8 lens, 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter with an f/2.2 lens, 2-megapixel shooter with a 4cm f/2.4 macro lens, and 2-megapixel depth shooter with f/2.4 lens. There is a 32 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture and support AI HDR+ as well as support for night mode.

Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, and USB Type-C. Nova 5 Pro also comes with NFC. There is no headphone jack and these phone support USB Type-C audio. Huawei has also added In-display fingerprint sensor.

There is a 3500 mAh battery powering both Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro. These phones also support 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge fast charging.

Nova 5 will be available in Black, Purple and Green colors. It costs 2799 yuan. It will go on sale starting from July 20 but will be up for order July 13.

Nova 5 Pro comes in Black, Purple, Green and Orange colors. 128GB storage variant costs 29999 Yuan but the 256 GB variant will be available for 3399 yuan. It is now available for order and will go on sale starting June 28.
