ASUS 6Z with a Flip Camera launching in India on June 18
Last month, Asus announced its latest flagship phone Zenfone 6 at an event in Spain. Before the phone could launch in India, the company faced a trademark lawsuit filed by Telecare Network over the word Zen. To be on a safer side, the company is dropping the Zenfone branding for now until the issue case is in the court. So, the company will be launching the Zenfone 6 as Asus 6Z in the Indian market.
Flipkart’s listing has confirmed that Asus 6Z will be launched in India on June 19. There is no change in the design and specifications of the phone. It is the same phone with a new name.
Zenfone 6Z is interesting due to the Flip camera setup that makes it the best selfie camera. There is only one camera setup that is used as a rear and front camera. This setup includes a dual camera setup with 48 megapixels primary camera having an f/1.79 aperture, EIS and Sony IMX586 sensor. There is also a 13 megapixels secondary camera with 125-degree ultra-wide lens, f/2.4 aperture.
It features a 6.46-inch Full HD+ NanoEdge IPS LCD display and comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It packs Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 Soc with Adreno 640 GPU. The phone comes in three different models including 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. Storage is also expandable up to 1 TB. I cannot say if the company will launch all three models or selective of these.
The phone comes with 5-magnet stereo speaker and Dual NXP TFA9874 amplifier. It also has 5000mAh battery with QuickCharge 4.0 fast charging,
We have no information about pricing but it is expected to be priced around Rs. 3000. We should know more details at the time of launch. I will be there at the launch to bring all the latest information about Asus 6Z.
