Facebook has announced its plans to bring dating feature to the core Facebook App. With a new update, the company now opens dating with friends with a new interesting way. You can express your interest in someone from your friends on the site, but only if you have Facebook Dating Profile.

Dating profile can be created just by tapping the heart icon at the top right-hand corner of your user profile. Your dating profile will not be visible to your friends. Uses will have an option to unlock the dating profile for nearby groups and events to meet people with similar interest.

The company today introduced a new feature called Secret Crush. Facebook says that you can add up to nine people to a “secret crush” list. After you do, these nine people will get an alert telling them someone has a crush on them. Then they can make their own “secret crush” list. If they add you, you both get a notification and you can start a conversation.

It is worth to note that Secret Crush notification will only be sent if the other person has opted into Facebook Dating. If your crush has not made a dating profile or doesn’t put you on their list, no one will know that you’ve entered a friend’s name.

Facebook Dating is now being rolled out to 14 more countries today. Facebook Dating is available to users 18 and older. It is free to use service with no ads or paid feature.

Facebook Dating is not yet available in India and we cannot say when it will be.
