Xiaomi has launched its new selfie phone Redmi Y3, the successor of Redmi Y2 at an event in New Delhi. The phone starts at Rs. 9999.
Redmi Y3 also comes with Xiaomi’s new Aura design that we saw in Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro. The phone has a glass body with gradient color options. The phone comes in Elegant Blue, Bold Red colors and Prime Black colors.
Xiaomi Redmi Y3 features a 6.26-inch (1520 × 720 pixels) HD+ 19:9 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10. The phone is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 632 14nm processor with Adreno 506 GPU.
It will be available in two models having 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. Storage of the phone is also expandable up to 512GB. The phone has a triple camera slot to offer a dedicated microSD card slot.
The phone features a dual camera setup with 12 megapixels primary and 2 megapixels secondary depth camera. It also has 32 megapixels front camera with f/2.25 aperture.
It has a fingerprint sensor located on the back panel. There is also an Infrared sensor that lets you use the phone as a universal remote control for several home appliances.
Redmi Y3 offers Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS + GLONASS connectivity. It packs a 4000mAh battery.
The phone will go on sale starting from April 30th and will be available through Amazon.in, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores.
