Oppo has quietly launched a new smartphone Oppo A5s in the Indian market. The phone is now listed on Oppo India’s official website. This phone is a slightly upgraded variant of existing Oppo A5. The official listing didn’t confirm the pricing and the phone is expected to go on sale via major offline stores starting next week.
OPPO A5s features a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution, waterdrop notch, and Gorilla Glass protection. The phone runs on ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
It packs MediaTek MT6765 Helio P35 octa-core processor with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The phone comes in 2GB / 3GB / 4GB RAM variants with 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage. Storage is also expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
OPPO A5s has a dual camera that includes 13 megapixels primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and 2 megapixels secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. It also has an 8 megapixels front camera with f 2.0 aperture. The phone also comes to feature AI Beautification 2.0 that uses deep learning to enhance your selfies.
It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It also comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS and Micro-USB connectivity options The phone pack s 4230mAh capacity battery but lacks fast charging support.
Dimensions measure 155.9mm x 75.4mm x 8.2mm and it weighs 170g. It will be available in Red, Black, Gold, and Green colors.
Oppo A5s will compete against Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Samsung Galaxy A20.
