Meizu has announced its latest flagship smartphone Meizu 16s at an event in China. The phone packs high-end specs and has been optimized for gaming.
Meizu 16s comes with a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 18.6:9 aspect ratio. Meizu claims that it has 4.2mm ultra narrow bottom bezel and 91.53% screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with Adreno 640 GPU.
It features Hyper Gaming mode for gamers that offers smoother graphics performance while consuming less power. The company also talks about built-in mEngine 3.0 vibration motor for offering immersive tactile experience during gaming sessions.
The phone comes in three RAM/ storage models that are 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. Meizu 16s runs Flyme OS 8 based on Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box.
The phone has dual camera on that back that includes 48 megapixels primary camera with Sony IMX586 sensor and 20 megapixels secondary telephoto camera with Sony IMX350 sensor. It has 20 megapixels front camera with Samsung 3T2 sensor. There is also Meizu’s “Super night view” that can merge up to 8 photos into a single image for improved low light photography. It also supports multi-frame noise reduction feature
It features Stereo speakers and supports USB Type-C audio. The phone also comes with In-display fingerprint sensor.
Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz) 4×4 MIMO, Bluetooth 5, GPS (L1 + L5 dual band), and USB Type-C. It packs 3600 mAh battery with support to 24W mCharge fast charging. It claims to charge the phone from 0 to 60% in just 30 minutes.

Meizu 16s will go on sale in China starting April 28th.
