Since the launch of Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL, Google has been selling Pixel 2 XL at the discounted price while the price of Pixel 2 remained unchanged. Now the company has officially discontinued both the phones.

If you try to open Pixel 2 listing on Google Store, it will redirect you to Pixel 3. Pixel 2 is still in the comparison section but with no option to purchase.

Unlike Apple that keeps selling old iPhone models for years, Google has decided to scrap the phone series. Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are still impressive phones even by today’s standards. The camera of these phones can still beat several latest phones. The only reason for this major step could be no consumer demand.

Few reports also suggest that Google is planning a cheaper variant of Pixel 3 and Google is making a space of those new cheaper Pixel phones.

Pixel 2 XL is still available from different online stores for around Rs. 42000. This is still one of the best camera phones of this price segment. In case you are looking for a new phone, you can consider this phone even if Pixel 3 is available.
