Panasonic has just announced the launch of its latest smartphone Panasonic Eluga Ray 800 in the Indian market. The phone is priced at Rs. 9999 and will be available across all e-commerce platforms and leading retail outlets.

Panasonic Eluga Ray 800 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass protection. The phone runs on older version of Android i.e. Android 7.0. It also comes with Arbo Hub, the virtual assistant, that tracks picks up user’s daily activity patterns, and prompts the user to do things as per the schedule.

It packs 1.8GHz Octa-core processor but the company didn’t confirm the chipset. The phone offers 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Storage is also expandable up to 128GB.

It has 13 megapixels rear camera with LED flash and 8 megapixels front camera. The camera fears face and smile detection features and also lets you click multiple photos in one go.

It features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and micro USB connectivity. It also has fingerprint sensor located on the back panel. It packs 4000 mAh battery.

At the time when other brands are launching smartphones with a fullView display having notches for larger viewing area, Panasonic has chosen to use the older design. At this price, it will compete against Redmi Note 7 and Realme 3. I see no reason to prefer Panasonic Eluga Ray 800 over other options.
