Black Shark 2 features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with HDR support and 240Hz touch response rate. Xiaomi managed to reduce the input latency for improved responsiveness when gaming. The upgraded panel also has two pressure-sensitive points that the company calls Magic Press. Users can press down harder on any side of the display to trigger a specific action. You can map these pressure-sensitive areas to any in-game action.
The phone packs Snapdragon 855 SoC with a new liquid cooling system that covers all heat-generating areas. The company claims that it lowers temperatures by as much as 14 degrees Celsius.
If you are looking for better cooling, you can also purchase a dedicated Cooling Case add on. This add-on has a fan that dissipates even more heat and lowers the chipset temperature by a further 5°C.
The base model has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and the high-end model features 12 GB RAM and 256GB of storage. Other two variants are 8GB RAM with 128 storage and 8 GB RAM with 256GB storage.
The phone has the front-facing stereo speakers located at the top and bottom bezels. The phone also has an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner. The phone also has a glowing logo on the back.

The primary camera is of 48 megapixels Samsung GM1 sensor with f/1.75 aperture and the secondary 12 megapixels telephoto camera has Samsung S5K3M5 sensor and f/2.2 aperture. The telephoto lens is capable of offering 2x optical zoom. It also has 20 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
It comes with Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and USB Type-C connectivity options. The phone packs 4000 mAh battery with support to 27W fast charging. The company claims that just 5 minutes of charging can offer 30 minutes of gaming.
